Girls Basketball:

Winnebago Lutheran 62, Ripon 41

–Kaylee Frey had 19 points and 12 rebounds for the Vikings in the win

NFL:

LA Rams 54, Kansas City 51

–Jared Goff’s 40 yard touchdown pass to Gerald Everett with 1:49 to play in the game was the difference as the Rams downed the Chiefs on Monday Night Football. Goff threw for 413 yards and four touchdowns in the win, while Chiefs quarterback Pat Mahomes threw for 478 yards and six touchdowns in the loss.

College Football:

Wisconsin running back Jonathan Taylor was named the Big Ten’s Co-Offensive Player of the Week for his big performance in Saturday’s triple overtime win over Purdue. Taylor carried the ball 33 times for a career-high 321 yards, scoring three touchdowns – including the game winning 17-yard score in the third overtime period. The award is Taylor’s fourth career Offensive Player of the Week honor and second this season. Taylor shares the award this week with Ohio State quarterback Dwayne Haskins.

Jonathan Taylor has been named a finalist for the Doak Walker Award – which is given out to the nation’s top running back.Taylor is joined by Travis Etienne of Clemson and Darrell Henderson of Memphis as finalists for the award, which will be handed out on December 6th.

NBA:

Milwaukee 104, Denver 98

–Giannis Antetokounmpo had a double-double of 29 points and 12 rebounds as the Bucks beat the Nuggets at the Fiserv Forum. Eric Bledsoe added 23 points for Milwaukee – making 8 of 10 shots from the floor in the win. The Bucks are 12-4 on the year and host Portland on Wednesday.

College Basketball News:

The Wisconsin Men’s Basketball team is ranked in the Associated Press Top 25 for the first time in two seasons. Wisconsin comes in at number 25 in this week’s poll after a week that saw them win at Xavier and take care of Houston Baptist at home to improve to 3-0 on the year. The Badgers were last ranked in the poll at the end of the 2016-17 season. Five other Big Ten teams are ranked in this week’s AP Poll – Michigan at nine, Michigan State at 11, Iowa at 20, Ohio State at 23 and Purdue at 24. Wisconsin will play Stanford in the first round of the Battle For Atlantis in the Bahamas tomorrow afternoon.

Wisconsin senior forward Ethan Happ was named the Big Ten’s Player of the Week for his role in helping the Badgers to a 2-0 record in games last week. Happ averaged 22.5 points, 12 rebounds and five assists – shooting 68.8 percent from the floor. Happ’s week included a double-double of 30 points and 13 rebounds in last Tuesday’s win at Xavier – adding a 15 point and 12 rebound performance in Saturday’s win against Houston Baptist.

–Wisconsin senior Marsha Howard scored the game-winning basket with three seconds left in overtime. The Badgers improve to 4-0 on the year.
