>>Packers Travel To SF; Find Out Today If They Need To Turn Around And Go Home

(Santa Clara, CA)  —  The Green Bay Packers have made the long trip to San Francisco and they should find out today (Thursday) if they need to get back on that plane and go home.  The San Francisco 49ers will have a better idea of the size of their COVID-19 spread once contact tracing is completed and the team gets the results of additional testing this (Thursday) morning.  The Packers had no additional positive test results this week, while San Francisco has had at least three since Tuesday.  Green Bay players have a team meeting scheduled for this morning.  Kickoff is set for 7:20 p-m at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California when the two teams meet for the third time in less than a year.

>>Only 1 Major Change Coming For Milwaukee Brewers Coaching Staff

(Milwaukee, WI)  —  Milwaukee Brewers third base coach Ed Sedar is transitioning into an advisory role.  That’s the only major change coming for the Brewers coaching staff.  Sedar has been a base coach for 14 years, the last 10 at third.  The team announced its coaching staff for the 2021 season Wednesday.  Quintin Berry will coach third.  Bullpen catchers Robinzon Diaz and Marcus Hanel won’t be back.  Hanel served as a bullpen catcher for the last 20 years.  Nestor Corredor and Adam Weisenburger will handle those duties starting this spring.

>>UW Football On Hiatus, But Other Sports Are Preparing For Winter Season

(Madison, WI)  —  Positive COVID-19 tests have paused the season for Wisconsin Badgers football, but other sports at the university are still getting ready for the winter.  It isn’t clear when football will return.  Men’s and women’s hockey and basketball are continuing their preparation.  Men’s hockey is set to open its season November 13th – even though the complete Big Ten Conference schedule hasn’t been released.  Men’s and women’s basketball can start November 25th, but their schedules are also in limbo.  The U-W women’s hockey team, ranked number-one in Tuesday’s preseason poll, hasn’t been given a starting date by the Western Collegiate Hockey Association yet.

>>UW-Milwaukee Finally Gets A Look At Its Basketball Schedule

(Milwaukee, WI)  —  The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee has finally found out what its basketball schedule will look like – at least in December.  The Panthers will play 20 Horizon League conference games in the coming season.  They will open at U-W-Green Bay by playing the Phoenix two times on consecutive nights starting December 19th.  U-W-Milwaukee hosts Illinois-Chicago on December 26th and 27th.  There will be no fans attending those four games and that could be the case well into 2021.
