The Wisconsin Men’s Basketball team returns to action tonight as they look to improve to 2-0 in Big Ten play with a road contest at Rutgers. The Badgers broke a three-game losing streak Saturday with a 20-point win over Indiana at the Kohl Center. The Scarlet Knights are 6-3 on the season – losing their Big Ten opener Sunday at Michigan State. Tipoff time tonight is 6 pm, coverage starts at 5 on KFIZ.

NBA:

The Milwaukee Bucks try to extend their winning streak to 16 games in-a-row tonight when they take on the New Orleans Pelicans at Fiserv Forum. The Bucks held off Orlando Monday night by a score of 110-101 behind 32 points and 15 rebounds from Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Pelicans are just 6-18 on the season – and have lost nine in a row, including a 105-103 loss to Detroit on Monday night.

New Orleans has been reeling since #1 overall pick Zion Williamson was declared out for six to eight weeks with a torn meniscus in his knee. Media reports say that timeline is likely to be pushed back – and that the top pick may not make his debut until sometime in the new year.

Tipoff time tonight is 8:30 pm – we’ll join coverage in progress after Badger Basketball.

Baseball:

Outfielder Christian Yelich and reliever Josh Hader have been named to the first-ever All-M-L-B team. Those two Brewers were named to the first team, while former Brewer catcher Yasmani Grandal was chosen for the second team. Grandal recently signed a deal with the Chicago White Sox. Yelich had 44 home runs and won his second straight National League batting title in 2019. Hader had an E-R-A of two-point-62 to go with 138 strikeouts in 75-and-two-thirds innings.
