NWL Baseball:

The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders have announced that they will be welcoming back three players from last year’s team in 2019. Pitchers Bubba Horton from the University of Minnesota, Conor Dreyer from Central Missouri and Brad Hudson from Southern Illinois will all be returning to play in Fond du Lac this summer.

–Markus Howard scored 28 points as the Golden Eagles swept the season series with the Bulldogs with the win at Fiserv Forum Wednesday night. Marquette visits Providence on Saturday.

The All-Star break is over and the Bucks get back to work tonight at home against the Celtics. Milwaukee begins the unofficial second half of the season atop the NBA standings at 43-and-14.  Boston is six-and-a-half games back at 37-and-21.

Golf:

Steve Stricker has been officially named Ryder Cup captain for the United States for the 2020 event at Whistling Straits in his home state of Wisconsin. The 12-time PGA Tour winner is the first U.S. captain to have never captured a major and the first to also previously serve as Presidents Cup captain.
