In tomorrow’s semifinals, Oshkosh travels to #2 seed Stevens Point, while River Falls plays at top-seed Platteville.
Marquette 85, St. John’s 73
–Sam Hauser scored 24 points, making five of the team’s 13 three-pointers as the Golden Eagles outlasted the Red Storm at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee. Marquette visits DePaul on Saturday.

Tonight, the Badgers play their final road contest in Big Ten play making the short trip to Northwestern. The Badgers have won three of their last four and sit at 6-10 in conference and 13-16 overall. The Wildcats are also 6-10 in league play but have lost four straight, including a 71-64 setback to Maryland on Monday night and Saturday’s loss to Michigan State, which saw the Spartans rally from down 27 points to win. A win for Wisconsin would move them ahead of the Wildcats in the standings into ninth place.

Women’s College Basketball:

The WIAC women’s basketball tournament continues tonight with the semifinal round. Top-seed UW-Whitewater will take on UW-Eau Claire while #2-seed La Crosse hosts UW-Oshkosh. The winners advance to Saturday’s Championship Game.
Fort Wayne 128, Wisconsin 110
–Former Bucks first round pick Brandon Jennings scored 31 points in his debut with the Herd. Wisconsin plays the Long Island Nets on Friday.
The US Women’s Hockey Team won the gold medal for the first time in 20 years, defeating Canada 3-2 in a shootout late last night. Canada had won four consecutive gold medals and 24 straight Olympic games.
