Boys High School Hockey:

WIAA Sectional Final: (Saturday)

St. Mary’s Springs 1, University School of Milwaukee 0

–The Ledgers will face off against Hudson at 10 am Thursday in the State Quarterfinals.

The Fond du Lac Warbirds Girls Hockey team also qualified for State with a 5-2 win over University School on Friday night in a Sectional Championship game. The Warbirds will face off against Sun Prairie in the State Semifinals on Friday afternoon at 12:15 pm.

Division 2: 113 Pounds: Dylan Bublitz of Campbellsport – 4th place

       145 Pounds: Andrew Forsythe of NFDL/St. Mary’s Springs – 5th place

       182 Pounds: Matt Koelbel of Campbellsport – 5th place

       

                195 Pounds: Marcus Orlandoni – NFDL/St. Mary’s Springs – 4th place

Michigan State 68, Wisconsin 63

–Brad Davison scored 30 points in the loss for the Badgers, but it wasn’t enough to pull off the upset of the Spartans at the Kohl Center. With the win, Michigan State wins the Big Ten Regular Season title outright. Wisconsin finishes 7-11 in conference and 14-17 overall, they’ll play Maryland in the Big Ten Tournament Thursday in New York City.

–Khris Middleton scored 25 points, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Eric Bledsoe each scored 20 for the Bucks in the loss. Milwaukee saw an 18 point lead early in the third quarter fade away in the defeat. The Bucks host Washington on Tuesday.

NBA G-League:

Raptors 905 129, Wisconsin 119

–Brandon Jennings scored 29 for the Herd in the loss. Wisconsin is back home to host Maine on Friday.
