–Markus Howard scored 25 points as the Golden Eagles lost to the Wildcats on the road to split the season series between the teams. Marquette falls to 23-5 overall with a 12-3 mark in the Big East. They’ll host Creighton on Sunday.

Big Ten:

Purdue 73, Illinois 56

Penn State 78, Maryland 61

CBB News:

After dominating the WIAC this year – UW-Oshkosh Mens and Womens basketball players are being recognized on the All-Conference list this year. Four men’s players from Oshkosh earned first team honors, including Ben Boots, Jack Flynn, Adam Fravert and Laconia’s Brett Wittchow. Boots was named the conference Player of the Year, while Titans head coach Matt Lewis was named the conference Coach of the Year.

On the women’s side – only senior Isabella Samuels was named first team All-Conference. Four Titans earned honorable mention honors, including Olivia Campbell, Chloe Pustina, Jessie Rabas and former St. Mary’s Springs athlete Melanie Schneider. Oshkosh head coach Brad Fischer was named the conference Coach of the Year.

NBA:

Milwaukee 141, Sacramento 140 (OT)

–Eric Bledsoe posted a triple-double of 26 points, 13 assists and 12 rebounds as the Bucks outlasted the Kings in Sacramento. Malcolm Brogdon added 25 points, Khris Middleton 21 in the win as Milwaukee improved its NBA-best record to 47-14. The Bucks visit the LA Lakers on Friday night.

MLB Spring Training:

Cleveland 6, Milwaukee 1

–The Brewers were held to just two hits in the loss – with a solo home run by Corey Ray in the third inning accounting for their only run in the game. Milwaukee is 1-4 in Cactus League play – and will play split squad games today against Cincinnati and San Francisco.
