Division 3: 

Laconia 56, Waupun 49

–The Spartans defeat the Warriors on the road to win the Regional Championship. Laconia will take on top-seed Marshall in a Sectional Semifinal game at Lomira High School on Thursday. 

Kewaskum 49, Kewaunee 34

–The Indians will play Sheboygan Falls in a Sectional Semifinal game at Brillion High School on Thursday.

–The top-seeded Oaks will play Oshkosh Lourdes in a Sectional Semifinal game on Thursday. 

Men’s College Basketball: 

Midwest Conference Tournament – Championship Game: 

Ripon College 84, St. Norbert 71

–Trent Jones scored 24 points, while former Waupun athlete Owen Theune added 21 points and 10 rebounds as the Red Hawks defeated the Green Knights to win the MWC Tournament and earn the league’s automatic bid into the NCAA Division 3 Tournament. Ripon carries an 11-game winning steak into the tournament. 

WIAC Tournament – Championship Game:

UW-Oshkosh 78, UW-Eau Claire 72

–The Titans hold off the Blugolds to win the WIAC Tournament and clinch the league’s automatic bid into the NCAA Division 3 Tournament. 

Big East: 

#13 Seton Hall 88, Marquette 79

–Markus Howard scored 37 points but it wasn’t enough to save Senior Day for the Golden Eagles as they fell to the Pirates at Fiserv Forum Saturday afternoon. Marquette plays at DePaul on Tuesday.

–Emily Miller scored 15 points to lead the Titans in the win over the Blugolds. Oshkosh clinches the WIAC’s automatic bid into the NCAA Division 3 Tournament for the second straight year.
