Boys High School Basketball:

Laconia’s Jaylen Mahone and Waupun’s Marcus Domask were named to the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association All-State team for Division Three. Mahone led the Spartans in scoring with 23.8 points per game to go along with 6.3 rebounds and three assists per game. Laconia went 17-8 overall and made an appearance in the Sectional Semifinals. Domask is a three-time WBCA All-State selection and averaged 22.8 points per game last year for the Warriors who advanced to the Sectional Finals.

Men’s College Basketball:


Marquette continues play in the NIT tonight by hosting a quarterfinal matchup against Penn State. The Golden Eagles put up 101 points in a win Sunday over third-seeded Oregon. Penn State got 24 points from Tony Carr in a win over top-seed Notre Dame on Saturday. The winner will take on either Mississippi State or Louisville in the NIT Semifinals at Madison Square Garden next Tuesday. Tonight’s game tips off at 6pm.


Cleveland 124, Milwaukee 117

–GIannis Antetokounmpo had a double-double of 37 points and 11 rebounds, Khris Middleton added 30 in the loss for the Bucks. Milwaukee hosts the LA Clippers on Wednesday

NBA G-League:

Fort Wayne 121, Wisconsin 107

–Xavier Munford scored 31 points in the loss for the Herd. Wisconsin hosts the Westchester Knicks on Wednesday.


For the third straight year, a Marian Sabres hockey player has signed a professional contract. That’s after Hunter Stewart agreed to a deal with the Evansville Thunderbolts of the Southern Professional Hockey League. Stewart ranks second in program history with 80 assists and ranks eighth all time with 28 goals for a total of 108 points. Stewart led the Sabres in scoring his senior year with 12 goals and 24 assists. The SPHL is a 10 team league based out of Huntersville, North Carolina. Stewart is the third Sabre in the last two years to sign an SPHL contract.
