Wisconsin 85, North Carolina 62

–Brad Davison scored 29 points, with D’Mitrik Trice adding 21 as the Badgers rolled past the Tar Heels in first round action at Mackey Arena in West Lafayette, Indiana. Wisconsin shot 50 percent from the floor for the game and 48 percent from three-point range to cruise into a second round matchup with #1 seed Baylor on Sunday afternoon. 

Illinois 78, Drexel 49

–Kofi Cockburn scored 18 points, with Ayo Dosunmu adding 17 points and 11 rebounds as the top-seeded Illini cruised to a win over the Dragons. Illinois will play Loyola-Chicago in round two on Sunday. 

Rutgers 60, Clemson 56

–Caleb McConnell scored 13 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as the Scarlet Knights outlasted the Tigers to advance to the second round. Rutgers will play #2-seed Houston on Sunday. 

Oral Roberts 75, Ohio State 72 (OT)
–Kevin Obanor and Max Abmas combined to score 59 points as the #15-seed Golden Eagles stunned the #2 seed Buckeyes in first round action. EJ Liddell scored 23 points to lead Ohio State in the loss. 

North Texas 78, Purdue 69 (OT)

–Javion Hamlet scored 24 points to lead the #13-seed Mean Green to an upset win over the fourth-seeded Boilermakers in overtime. Jaden Ivey scored 26 points to lead Purdue in the loss
