Women’s College Volleyball: 


Lakeland University swept Marian in a doubleheader on Sunday afternoon with identical 3-1 scores in both games. 

In game one – Lakeland won the first two sets 25-17 and 26-24, lost the third set to Marian 25-22 and won the fourth set 25-22

In game two – Lakeland won the first set 25-18, lost the second set to Marian 25-18, then won the final two sets 25-20 and 25-18


Men’s College Basketball: 

NCAA Tournament – Second Round: 

Baylor 76, Wisconsin 63

–D’Mitrik Trice scored 12 points, but the Badgers couldn’t keep pace with the Bears and bowed out of the NCAA Tournament with a loss Sunday afternoon in the Round of 32. Matthew Mayer scored 17 points off the bench to pace top-seeded Baylor, who advances to the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2017

Loyola-Chicago 71, Illinois 58

–Cameron Krutwig scored 19 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead the Ramblers to an upset win over the top-seeded Illini. Kofi Cockburn scored 21 points to lead Illinois in the loss

Houston 63, Rutgers 60

–Quentin Grimes scored 22 points to lead the Cougars to a win over the 10th-seeded Scarlet Knights and into the Sweet 16. Houston closed the game on a 14-2 run to escape with the win. Geo Baker scored 14 points to lead Rutgers in the loss.

–Lauren Van Kleunen scored 18 points to lead the Golden Eagles in the loss to the Hokies. Marquette closes the season with a 19-7 record

–Christian Yelich drove in the only Brewers’ run of the game in the first inning, as Milwaukee fell in Cactus League play. The Brewers play Cleveland this afternoon, first pitch is 3:05 PM.
