Boys High School Basketball:

WIAA Division 3 Sectional Semifinals (At Watertown HS):

Waupun 63, Laconia 43

–Marcus Domask scored 23 points, Owen Theune added 16 for the Warriors in the win. Jaylen Mahone had 20 for Laconia in the loss. Waupun advances to the Sectional Championship game Saturday against Kettle Moraine Lutheran. The game will be played at Whitefish Bay HIgh School.

Division 1 Sectional Semifinals:

Oshkosh North 75, Eau Claire North 59

Stevens Point 61, Kimberly 54

–North and SPASH will meet in a sectional final at Marshfield HS Saturday.

Division 2 Sectional Semifinals:

Kaukauna 68, Pulaski 59

–The Ghosts will play Nicolet in a sectional final at Manitowoc Lincoln on Saturday.

Girls High School Basketball – State Semifinals:

The Girls State Tournament began Thursday with the semifinals in DIvision Three and Division Four at the Resch Center in Ashwaubenon. Marshall and Amherst won in their D-3 semifinal matchups, while Aquinas and Melrose-Mindoro were winners in D4. Semifinals continue today in Division five, two and one.

Men’s College Basketball:

Big East Tournament – Quarterfinals:

Villanova 94, Marquette 70

–Markus Howard scored 23 points, Andrew Rowsey added 22 in the loss for Marquette. Villanova shot 56 percent from the floor and made 15-three pointers in the win.

College Baseball:

Wabash 12, Marian 2

–The Sabres were held to three hits in the loss. Marian plays a doubleheader with Simpson College in Tucson today.

MLB Spring Training:

Arizona 11, Milwaukee 6

–Manny Pina went 3 for 3 with two home runs and four RBI in the loss for the Brewers. Milwaukee takes on Oakland today in Cactus League play.
