–Eric Thames went 2 for 4 at the plate and homered for the fourth time in the last five games as the Brewers sealed up a series win over division rival St. Louis at Busch Stadium Wednesday afternoon. Junior Guerra got the win on the mound for Milwaukee, allowing a run on four hits in 5 & ⅓ innings pitched. Adam Wainwright got the loss for St. Louis, giving up three runs on eight hits in seven innings of work. The Brewers are off today and open a three-game series with the New York Mets on Friday.

NBA:

Philadelphia 130, Milwaukee 95

–Jabari Parker scored 25 points off the bench to lead the Bucks in the loss to the 76ers in the regular season finale Wednesday night. Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 10 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Milwaukee, who finishes the regular season with a 44-38 record. With the loss, Milwaukee will be the #7 seed in the upcoming playoffs and will take on #2 seed Boston.

NFL:

The Packers have announced their opponents for the upcoming preseason schedule. Green Bay will play home games against Tennessee and Pittsburgh in the first two weeks of the preseason, then close on the road at Oakland and Kansas City. The first game will be played between August 9th-13th, the second August 16th-20th, the third August 23rd-26th and the final game August 30th-31st.

Men’s College Volleyball:

The Marian Sabres are in action tonight in the NACC Tournament Semifinals on the road at top-seed Dominican. Marian advanced to tonight’s matchup with a 3-0 win over Aurora in Tuesday’s quarterfinals. Marian and Dominican split their two meetings in the regular season, with the Sabres winning in four sets six days ago at home. First serve is set for 7pm, with the winner advancing to the Tournament Championship on Saturday against either Benedictine or MSOE.
