High School Sports – Wednesday’s Results: 

Boys Soccer:

Girls Tennis: 

The Fond du Lac Girls Tennis team competed in the WIAA Sectionals at Monona Grove High School on Wednesday, with the #1 doubles team of Mia Bahr and Maddie Kleinke advancing to state. The State Tournament will be held April 22nd & 23rd in Lake Geneva

Girls Golf:

Fond du Lac competed against Appleton West and Appleton East at Reid Golf Course in Appleton on Wednesday, with the Cardinals shooting a 214 as a team. Appleton West also shot a 214, but the Cardinals won the tiebreaker for first place. Appleton East did not record a team score at the meet. Lauren Grass had the low score for Fondy with a 50.

–Travis Shaw went 2-for-5 with a run-scoring single and a home run as the Brewers picked up a win in the series finale with the Cubs at American Family Field on Wednesday afternoon. Brewers starter Corbin Burnes pitched another gem – giving up just two hits and striking out 10 in six innings of work. Burnes even helped his own cause at the plate with a two-run single in the sixth. Milwaukee is off today and will welcome in Pittsburgh for a weekend series starting Friday.

–White Sox starting pitcher Carlos Rodon lost his bid for a perfect game in the ninth inning, but was able to finish off the no-hitter as the Sox beat the Indians on Wednesday night.

–Khris Middleton scored 27 points to lead the Bucks past the Timberwolves on the road. Milwaukee is back in action tonight in Atlanta, tipoff is just after 6:30 PM
