The Hauser Brothers are leaving Marquette. The Golden Eagles announced Monday that both Sam and Joey Hauser will be transferring out of the program. Sam told ESPN that both he and his brother are planning to go to the same school. Sam, a 6’8” junior, averaged 14.9 points and 7.2 rebounds this year, shooting 40 percent from three point range. He will have one year of eligibility remaining after sitting out this year. Joey, a 6’9” freshman averaged 9.7 points and 5.3 rebounds per game – shooting 42 percent from three point range. He will have three years of eligibility remaining after sitting out this season.
Duke’s Zion Williamson, likely to be the top pick in the NBA draft this June, has officially declared his intention to leave Duke after one season in which he averaged 22.6 points and 8.9 rebounds. Joining Williamson in the draft is a pair of national champions leaving Virginia in forward De’Andre Hunter and guard Ty Jerome. Gonzaga forward Rui Hachimura, the West Coast Conference player of the year, has also declared for the draft.
