–Callie Pliner had a walk-off RBI single in the 11th to win the game for Mayville. Abby Van Beek struck out 14 batters in seven innings on the mound for Mayville.

Major League Baseball:

After a day off Monday, the Brewers return to action tonight with their first interleague series of the season. Milwaukee will hit the road to face American League Central foe Kansas City. The Brewers have won six in a row and are coming off a four-game sweep of Miami over the weekend that pushed their record to 14-9 on the year. Meanwhile, the Royals are just 5-15 on the year, and recently split a four-game series with Detroit over the weekend. Zach Davies gets the start for Milwaukee, while Kansas City counters with Ian Kennedy. Coverage on KFIZ and the Brewers Radio Network begins at 6:40 with first pitch at 7:15 pm.

Brewers TV broadcaster and former All-Star infielder Davey Nelson has died. The team made the announcement Monday morning. Nelson had been battling liver cancer. He joined the Brewers in 2001 as a minor league instructor, then became first base coach two years later. In 2006, he joined Fox Sports Wisconsin as an analyst and had also served in the team’s front office. Nelson played in the majors from 1968-1977 with the Indians, Senators, Rangers and Royals, making the 1973 American League All-Star roster with Texas.

–James Harden scored 36 points in the win for Houston who takes a 3-1 series lead into game five on Wednesday.

–Donovan Mitchell scored 33 points for the Jazz in the win. Utah holds a 3-1 series lead and can close out the series in game five Wednesday.

The first round continues tonight with three games. First, the Bucks look to take the series lead over Boston as the series shifts back to the Celtics’ home court. The Bucks won a 104-102 thriller on Sunday to tie the series at two games apiece. Tipoff time is 6pm. Also in the Eastern Conference, Philadelphia can close out their first round series with Miami with a win tonight. The 76ers hold a 3-1 series lead and host game five tonight. In the Western Conference, Golden State looks to advance to the conference semifinals with a win over San Antonio. The Warriors hold a 3-1 series lead going into tonight’s game five at home.

Men’s College Golf:

The Marian Men’s Golf team finished fourth at the NACC Championship held in Aurora, Illinois. The Sabres shot a 321, while Aurora won the meet with a 299. Jake Sherwood and Maxwell Dye each fired an 81 in the final round, with Sherwood finishing 12th individually and Dye 13th.
