St. Mary’s Springs took first place in DIvision One at the Oriole/Ledger Invite at Rolling Meadows Golf Course on Wednesday. The Ledgers shot a 306 as a team, with Dawson Sarauer firing a 74 to take first place Individually. Mayville placed second in D1 with a 405, Omro third (409), Ripon fourth (437), Berlin fifth (476), North Fond du Lac sixth (484).

Winnebago Lutheran took fourth place in DIvision Two with a 388. Mason Herkstroeter took fourth individually with an 83 to lead WLA. Laconia was sixth in D2 with a 486

–Ryan Braun went 3 for 5 with a double as the Brewers defeated the Royals in Kansas City to complete the sweep of the two-game interleague series at Kaufmann Stadium. Baseball News:

Brewers first baseman Eric Thames has been placed on the 10-day disabled list after tearing a ligament in his thumb. The team made the move Wednesday, recalling right-hander Brandon Woodruff from Triple-A. Thames left Tuesday’s win over Kansas City in the ninth inning. He’s hitting .250 with seven home runs and 13 RBI this season.

NFL Draft:

The first round of the NFL Draft is tonight and the Green Bay Packers hold the 14th overall selection in the opening round, part of 12 picks the team has this season.The draft gets underway at 7pm from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas

There’s just one game on the schedule for the NBA Playoffs tonight and its a possible elimination game for the Milwaukee Bucks as they host the Boston Celtics in game six of their best of seven series. Boston holds a 3-2 series lead after Tuesday’s 92-87 win in Boston. Neither team has won a road game in the series. Tipoff time is 7pm from the Bradley Center.
