Fond du Lac fell to Hortonville in an FVA dual meet at Rolling Meadows Golf Course, the Polar Bears edged the Cardinals 186 to 188. Wyatt Pfeiffer had the low score for Fondy with a 44, with Alex Rusch scoring a 46

Ripon placed fifth, Campbellsport sixth and Waupun eighth at the East Central Conference Mini-Meet at the Washington County Golf Course in Hartford on Wednesday. The Tigers shot a 182, with the Cougars recording a 200 and the Warriors a 214. 

Sam Yeomans and Riley Brooks of Ripon, Luke Eichstedt of Campbellsport and Brady Gerritson of Waupun all shot a 45 in the meet to lead their teams, respectively. 

Girls Golf: 

Fond du Lac placed second in an FVA meet at Rolling Meadows Golf Course on Wednesday, scoring a 201 as a team. Appleton North won the meet with a 186, while Appleton East did not record a team score.

–Kolten Wong’s two-run home run in the third inning was all the offense the Brewers could muster as they fell to the Marlins in the series finale at American Family Field on Wednesday afternoon. Former Brewer Jesus Aguilar clubbed a tie-breaking three-run homer in the fourth to help Miami pick up the series win. 

The Brewers welcome the defending World Champion Los Angeles Dodgers to town for a four-game series starting tonight. Freddy Peralta goes for Milwaukee against Trevor Bauer for LA. First pitch is 6:40 PM, radio coverage starts at 6:05 on KFIZ.
