Boys Golf:

St. Mary’s Springs won the Ledger Invite at Rolling Meadows Golf Course Saturday with a 309. Owen Ahern tied for first place with a 74, Doyle Kelly was third with a 76, Ben Hintze shot a 77 to place fourth. Winnebago Lutheran placed fourth as a team with a 386, Mason Herkstroeter placed fifth individually to lead the Vikings with an 81.

Boys Tennis:

WI Combined Tennis Conference Tournament:

St. Lawrence Seminary won the WCTC Conference Tournament with 29 team points. The Hilltoppers took first place in #1 singles, #2 singles, #3 singles and #2 doubles and #3 doubles. St. Mary’s Springs totaled 15 points in the tournament, with the Ledgers’ #1 doubles team of Jordan Giles and Luke Vander Kooy taking first place.

–The Brewers were shutout for the eighth time this season in their game three loss to the Rockies in Colorado Saturday night. Milwaukee totaled five hits, but was 0 for 11 with runners in scoring position in the loss. The final game of the series is this afternoon, coverage starts at 1:35 pm on KFIZ and the Brewers Radio Network.

The Brewers announced following the game that starter Chase Anderson is being placed on the 10 day disabled list with an illness. The team is recalling Freddy Peralta from Triple-A Colorado Springs and Peralta will make his first major league start in Sunday’s series finale. Anderson was scratched from Saturday’s start and Brent Suter started in his spot.
