Fond du Lac topped Kaukauna in an FVA dual meet at Rolling Meadows Golf Course on Thursday, 170 to 182. Fondy’s Wyatt Pfeiffer and Cole Thorin tied for first place, each scoring a 39. Alex Rusch tied for third with a 45.

–Corbin Burnes turned in another strong outing in his return to the rotation, but the Brewers offense didn’t hold up their end of the bargain as the fell in the series finale at American Family Field on Thursday afternoon. Burnes allowed a run on five hits with nine strikeouts in five innings of work, but the Brewer offense managed just five hits and went 0-for-10 with runners in scoring position and left nine men on base. A first inning single by Nolan Arenado scored a run for the Cardinals – with the red birds adding an insurance run on a throwing error in the ninth. 

Milwaukee welcomes Atlanta to town for a weekend series starting tonight – first pitch is 7:10 PM, radio coverage starts at 6:35 on KFIZ.
