The Brewers head to Minnesota for the first game of a border battle series with the Twins tonight at Target Field. Milwaukee is 26-18 and has won two straight series on the road, taking three of four from Colorado and two of three from Arizona earlier this week. Minnesota, meanwhile, is 18-21 and is 3-3 in their last six games. Brent Suter gets the start for Milwaukee while the Twins counter with Kyle Gibson. Coverage on KFIZ and the Brewers Radio Network begins at 6:35 pm, first pitch at 7:10.

The Timber Rattlers announced that Brewers starter Zach Davies will be making a rehab start with the team this Saturday. Davies was 2-3 with a 4.24 ERA in six starts with the Brewers before being sidelined with a rotator cuff injury. The Rattlers host Burlington at 1:05 pm.

NFL:

The Packers now have all of their draft picks signed after second round pick Josh Jackson and third round pick Oren Burks agreed to their rookie deals Thursday. Jackson, a 6’0” 196 pound defensive back from Iowa was the 45th overall pick in last month’s draft. He led the nation in interceptions with eight last year, with two returned for touchdowns, and 26 passes defensed. Burks was the 68th overall pick, making 228 tackles, 15.5 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks and five interceptions in four years at Vanderbilt.

College Basketball News:

UW-Oshkosh has named Matt Lewis the interim head coach for its Men’s Basketball team for the 2018-19 season. Lewis was the top assistant to former coach Pat Juckem, who was announced as the head coach at Washington University in St. Louis on May 1st. The school says it will conduct a national search for the position following the season.
