–Isaac Hyland ran for two touchdowns, while Sam Coon caught two touchdown passes for the Ledgers as they rolled past the Tigers on Saturday afternoon. 

Omro 35. Winnebago Lutheran 7

–Ben Wellhoefer ran for 202 yards and four touchdowns, and caught a touchdown pass to lead the Foxes past the Vikings on the road

Laconia 28, Waupun 14

Mayville 21, Campbellsport 6

–Blake Schraufnagel ran for 182 yards and three touchdowns to help lead the Cardinals to a win over the Cougars on the road.

–The Oaks close the spring season with a 4-1 record

Cross Country:

The Fond du Lac Boys and Girls Cross Country teams both competed at the Whitewater Sectional on Saturday, and both took second place at the meet to qualify for the State Tournament. On the boys side, Charlie Quast was the highest individual finisher, taking third place. The Fondy girls had four runners finish in the top 10 individually – Ally Schmitz (2nd), Sophie Schneider (3rd), Hannah Uecker (4th), and Alyssa Giese (9th). The State Tournament is Saturday (May 8th) at Blackhawk Golf Course in Janesville.

Boys Soccer: 

Appleton North 1, Fond du Lac 0

Softball: 

Fond du Lac won the “Shoreline Showdown” tournament hosted by Sheboygan North on Saturday, going 2-0 on the day. Fondy won 4-0 over Catholic Memorial and defeated Mukwonago 6-5 in the championship game on Saturday. Fondy’s Morgan Flaherty was named MVP of the tournament.

–Emma Rolf had four hits – including three doubles and a triple, and drove in five runs as the Ledgers cruised past the Zephyrs

Winnebago Lutheran went 2-0 at the Kewaskum Triangular on Saturday, winning 11-2 over Kewaskum and 13-2 over Kiel. 

Nevada Wisse went 3-for-4 with four RBI in the win over Kewaskum, with Audrey Schumacher tossing a complete game with 14 strikeouts in game one. 

WLA used a 10-run second inning to break the game open against Kiel. Kiara Shea went 2-for-3 with a pair of RBI’s, with Alayna Suprenand adding a home run in the win for the Vikings.

WLA improves to 4-0 on the season with the pair of victories.

–The Sabres clinch a spot in the NACC Tournament with the win

MLB: 

National League: 

Milwaukee 6, LA Dodgers 5 (11 Innings)

–The Brewers rallied for three runs in the bottom of the 11th, with Travis Shaw’s RBI single driving in Mario Feliciano to score the winning run. Kolten Wong started the rally with a sacrifice fly, then Avisail Garcia drove in the tying run with a single facing a two-strike count and two outs in the 11th, setting the stage for Shaw’s heroics. The win clinches a series win over the defending World Champions for the Brewers. They’ll go for the series sweep this afternoon – first pitch is 1:10 PM, radio coverage starts at 12:35 on KFIZ.
