–Brewers starter Junior Guerra allowed five runs on six hits in five innings on the mound as the Brewers lost the series opener with Pittsburgh Friday night at Miller Park. Game two of the series is tonight, coverage on KFIZ and the Brewers Radio Network starts at 5:35, first pitch at 6:10.

College Basketball:

Marian University has announced that Fond du Lac native and Goodrich High School alumnus Drake Diener will be their new Men’s Basketball coach. Diener replaces Mark Boyle, who retired following the end of this season and had coached at Marian for 30 years. Diener has been playing professional basketball in Italy for the past 12 years, and was a team captain for Vanoli Cremona this past season, where his cousin Travis also plays.

NFL:

The Packers made several roster moves on Friday, signing two draft picks and releasing one player. Rookie punter JK Scott from Alabama and long snapper Hunter Bradley of Mississippi State both agreed to terms with the team, while Green Bay released second-year punter Justin Vogel. Vogel was signed as an undrafted free agent in May of last year, and had a net average of 41.6 yards per punt, landing 19 in the 20 yard line.

The Packers also announced the signing of 14 rookie free agents on Friday. Former Wisconsin Badgers defensive lineman Conor Sheehy is one of the 14 signees by the team. The Milwaukee native played in 54 games with 33 starts for Wisconsin, registering 94 tackles, six sacks, 13 & ½ tackles for loss, a forced fumble and two passes defensed.
