Boys Golf:

St. Mary’s Springs won the Flyway Conference Mini Meet at Whispering Springs on Monday. The Ledgers shot a 158 with Ben Hintze earning medalist honors with a 38. Doyle Kelly also fired a 38 for SMSA with Dawson Sarauer shooting a 40, Owen Ahern a 42 and Colin Ahern a 44. Omro placed second (198), Winnebago Lutheran third (199), Mayville fourth (204), Lomira and North Fond du Lac tied for fifth (216), Laconia seventh with a 252.

The Brewers close out a brief homestand tonight with the start of a two game series with the Cleveland Indians at Miller Park. Milwaukee lost two of three from Pittsburgh over the weekend and sits at 20-15 overall, good for second place in the NL Central. The Indians were swept by the Yankees in three games over the weekend and sit at 17-17 overall, good for first place in the AL Central, two games ahead of Minnesota. Wade Miley gets his second start for Milwaukee, while ace Corey Kluber goes for the Tribe. Coverage on KFIZ and the Brewers Radio Network starts at 6:05 pm.

NFL:

The Packers announced Monday they signed six of their draft picks and two undrafted free agents to rookie deals. The team signed receivers J’Mon Moore, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Equanimous St. Brown, guard Cole Madison, defensive tackle James Looney and linebacker Kendall Donnerson along with linebacker Greer Martini and tight end Ryan Smith. Martini, from Notre Dame, and Smith from Miami (OH) were players who were tryout invites to this weekend’s rookie camp.

College Basketball:

Marian University announced Monday that head Women’s Basketball coach Lindsey Seewald has resigned. Seewald is leaving the program to take a job outside of coaching. Director of Athletics Jason Bartelt says that Christine Keller has been named the new head coach of the Sabres to replace Seewald. Keller spent the last two years as an assistant under Seewald, after coaching at Glendale High School and at her alma mater, Pius XI High School.
