Marian won their first game of the day Friday, defeating Lakeland 11-3 in five innings, before seeing their season end with a 3-1 loss to Concordia-Wisconsin. The Sabres close the season with a 23-20 record.

–Isan Diaz clubbed a grand slam in the third inning that powered the Marlins to a win in the series opener against the Brewers in Miami Friday night. Pablo Reyes’ run-scoring single in the fourth was the only offense the Brewers could muster in the loss, their sixth straight defeat. Game two of the series is this evening – first pitch is 5:10 PM central time, radio coverage starts at 4:35 on KFIZ.
