–Connor Manthey went 3-for-5 with four RBI as the Dock Spiders blew out the Booyah in the season opener at Herr-Baker Field. Ryan Ignoffo added a solo home run, drove in three runs and scored four times for Fondy in the victory. The two teams play again tonight in Green Bay – first pitch is 6:35 PM.

–The Bulldogs scored three runs in the ninth to tie the game, then won it in the bottom of the 10th to advance to the D-3 World Series. Former Fondy Cardinal Ryan Norton clubbed a two-run homer in the loss for the Warhawks.

Milwaukee 3, Detroit 2 (10 Innings)

–Luis Urias drove home the winning run in the bottom of the 10th as the Brewers walked off with a victory on Memorial Day at American Family Field. Willy Adames clubbed a two-run homer in the sixth to help the Brewers take a 2-1 lead, before Detroit tied it back up in the seventh on a solo shot from Akil Baddoo. The bullpen trio of Brent Suter, Josh Hader and Brad Boxberger kept the Tigers tamed the rest of the way, leading up to Urias’ heroics in the 10th. 

Brewers’ starter Corbin Burnes did not factor into the decision, despite another quality start. Burnes went six innings, allowing a run on six hits and striking out seven batters. 

Milwaukee has won five in a row and eight of their last 10 games – they’ll close out the series with Detroit tonight – first pitch is 6:40 PM, with radio coverage starting at 6:05 on KFIZ.
