WIAA Track & Field Sectionals:

Division 3 Sectional – Hosted by Princeton: 

St. Mary’s Springs saw their Girls track team place fifth in the the team standings at sectionals with 37 team points, while the boys team placed 22nd with 13 points. 

State qualifiers for SMSA include: 

Girls:

4×100 meter, 4×200 meter & 4×400 meter relay teams

Boys:

Isaac Hyland in the 200 meter dash

Winnebago Lutheran’s girls track team placed ninth at sectionals with 28 team points, while the WLA Boys’ placed 24th with 11 points. 

State qualifiers for WLA include:

Peyton Kemnitz – Sectional Champion in the Discus throw

Emersyn Moreau – in the 100 meter hurdles & the Pole Vault

Boys: 

Michael Hendrix in the Pole Vault

Central Wisconsin Christian placed 8th in the girls standings with 33 team points, while the CWC boys placed 15th with 19 points.

–Chandler Simpson went 3-for-3 at the plate, driving in two runs and scoring twice as the Dock Spiders beat the Booyah at home. Fond du Lac travels to Madison tonight – first pitch is 6:35 PM.

–C.J. Cron was the hero for the Rockies for the second night in a row, as his run-scoring single in the 10th helped Colorado walk-off Milwaukee and send the Brewers to their fifth straight loss. Willy Adames and Luis Urias each had a pair of hits in the loss for the Brewers. Game three of the series is tonight – first pitch is 8:10 PM, no radio coverage due to playoff basketball on KFIZ.
