Laconia’s Mattie Issac placed seventh in the girls Shot Put

Laconia’s girls 4×100 meter relay team placed 12th

Campbellsport’s Kendra Hewitt placed sixth in the girls Pole Vault, while Campbellsport’s Joseph Gardner placed eighth in the boys Long Jump

Ripon’s Celina Lopez placed second in the girls Triple Jump & fourth in the Long Jump

New Holstein’s Michael Volz and Mayville’s Alex Borkenhagen tied for third place in the boys pole vault. 

North Fond du Lac’s Chris Heidl placed 11th in the boys Shot Put

Northwoods League Baseball: 

Fond du Lac’s game at Lakeshore was suspended due to heavy fog at Kapco Park in Mequon. The game will be resumed Monday, with the Dock Spiders leading 4-1 in the third inning. The teams will then play a regularly scheduled game at 6:35 Monday night. 

Fond du Lac is back at home to host Wisconsin Rapids tonight at Herr-Baker Field. First pitch is 6:35 PM.

Milwaukee 5, Colorado 4 (11 Innings)

–Keston Hiura’s sacrifice fly scored Manny Pina to make the Brewers walk-off winners against the Rockies at American Family Field on Re-Opening Day in Milwaukee. The Brewers rallied from down 4-0 in the seventh, scoring five unanswered runs to pull out the win. 

Hiura’s solo home run in the seventh got the scoring started for Milwaukee on the day, with Kolten Wong adding a solo shot in the eighth and Willy Adames tying the game in the ninth with a two-run bomb off of the Rockies’ Daniel Bard. Hiura delivered in the 10th with the bases loaded and nobody out to send the Brewers home with their third straight victory and their fifth win in their last six games. 

Game two of the series is this afternoon – first pitch is 3:10 PM, with radio coverage starting at 2:35 on KFIZ.
