National League:

Cincinnati 3, Milwaukee 1

–For the second time in as many games, the Reds used a ninth inning rally to pull ahead of the Brewers as they won the series finale at American Family Field in Milwaukee on Sunday afternoon.

One day after Eugenio Suarez clubbed a go-ahead home run off of Josh Hader in the final frame, on Sunday it was Nick Castellanos who had a two-run single off of Hader to put the Reds in front. The Brewers’ closer was saddled with the loss for the second time in as many days, after loading the bases with one out, then giving up the single to Castellanos with two outs in the inning.

Milwaukee was out-hit 12-to-5 in the game, with Jackie Bradley Jr.’s run-scoring single in the sixth the only run the Brewers could push across.

The All-Star break is here for the Brewers – who closed the first half of the season with six losses in their final eight games. Milwaukee’s lead in the N-L Central standings is down to four games – and they’ll see the Reds right after the break, with a three-game series in Cincinnati on the calendar starting Friday.
