–Jacob Adams’ two-run single in the ninth inning gave the Dock Spiders a come-from-behind win over the Bombers on Sunday afternoon. Adams had two of Fondy’s four hits in the win. The Dock Spiders are off today and return home Tuesday to play Rockford.

–Josh Bell’s two-run double in the 10th inning gave the Pirates a walk-off win over the Brewers and completed the five game sweep of Milwaukee. The Brewers took a 5-2 lead on a bases-clearing triple from Brett Phillips in the eighth inning, but the Pirates rallied back to tie the game in the ninth off of Corey Knebel. Phillips again would put the Brewers ahead in the top of the 10th, but two singles and Bell’s double would end the game and send the Brewers to their sixth straight loss heading into the all star break. Milwaukee is 55-43 – two and a half games back of the Cubs in the NL Central – and begins the second half of the season with a series against the LA Dodgers on Friday at Miller Park.

All-Star festivities begin in Washington D.C. with the Home Run Derby at Nationals Park tonight. Jesus Aguilar of the Brewers is the number one seed in the derby’s new bracket format, and will face Rhys Hoskins of Philadelphia in the first round. Other participants include Kyle Schwarber and Javier Baez of the Cubs, Alex Bregman of Houston, Bryce Harper of Washington, Freddy Freeman of Atlanta and Max Muncy of the LA Dodgers. All but Harper are first time derby participants. The derby begins at 7pm central time – watch live on ESPN.

Minor League Baseball:

The Timber Rattlers announced Sunday that Brewers rookie Freddy Peralta will make a brief start for the team on Wednesday night. The Brewers want to make sure Peralta stays sharp and pitches during game conditions during the All-Star Break. Peralta is 4-1 with a 2.65 ERA in seven starts with Milwaukee this season and previously pitched for the Timber Rattlers in 2016, where he was a Midwest League All-Star. The Timber Rattlers take on the Dayton Dragons Wednesday night, first pitch is 7:05 pm.
