–Another “big inning” for an opponent dooms the Dock Spiders. This time, the Woodchucks scored six runs in the seventh inning to break a 2-2 tie and win the game in Wausau Thursday night. The Brewers open a weekend series with their division rival the Chicago Cubs tonight. The teams last played in mid-May at Wrigley Field, with the Cubs taking two of three from the Brewers in that series. In their first series of the year, Milwaukee won two of three at Miller Park. The Brewers are 54-50, two games back of both the Cubs and Cardinals in the standings. Milwaukee is 6-4 in their last 10 games – having lost two of three to Cincinnati earlier this week. Chicago is 55-47, and also 6-4 in their last 10 games. They lost two of three to San Francisco to start the week. Gio Gonzalez gets the start for the Brewers, with Kyle Hendricks going for the Cubs.
