–Waupun wins the Class A State Championship – and is the first team to win five state titles in Class A. Waupun advances to Division Two Nationals, hosted by Waupun August 9th-11th.

–Otto Grimm’s two-run double with two-outs in the eighth inning helped lift the Dock Spiders past the Chinooks at Herr-Baker Field Tuesday night. Tim Elko had three hits, and scored three runs in the win, while starting pitcher River Carbone notched seven strikeouts in seven innings, despite a “no decision”. The two teams play again tonight in Mequon – first pitch is 6:35 pm. Listen on KFIZ.com.

–Matt Olson hit a walk-off home run off of Josh Hader in the bottom of the 10th to give the A’s the win in game one of their three game series with the Brewers Tuesday night. Former Brewer Khris Davis gave Oakland a 2-1 lead with a solo shot in the eighth, then Eric Thames answered with a solo homer of his own in the ninth to tie it back up at 2. Hader struck out Matt Chapman to start the 10th, but Olson swung at the first pitch he saw and came up with the game winner. Game two is tonight – Jordan Lyles gets the start for the Brewers against Brett Anderson for Oakland. Coverage starts at 8:30, first pitch at 9:05 on KFIZ.

Brewers top draft pick Ethan Small will make his debut with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers on Friday night. Small, the first round pick out of Mississippi State, will be the starting pitcher for the Rattlers against Clinton. First pitch is 7:05 PM. 

NBA: 

The Milwaukee Bucks have signed free agent forward Dragan Bender. The 21-year-old Bender was the fourth overall pick in the 2016 draft by Phoenix, where he averaged around five points per game with the Suns over the last three seasons. Bender averaged five points, four rebounds and an assist per game in 46 games – including 27 starts last season. The 7-foot-1 forward was taken by Phoenix after playing one year in Israel in 2015-16.
