–Chandler Simpson had three hits, and Trey LaFleur hit a solo home run – but it wasn’t enough for the Dock Spiders to complete the comeback at home against the Rivets. Despite the loss, Fond du Lac clinches the Great Lakes West Division Championship for the first half of the season – and a playoff spot – thanks to Wisconsin’s loss to Lakeshore. 
The two teams play again tonight at Herr-Baker Field – first pitch is 6:35 PM.

–The Brewers were held to just four hits as they saw their 11-game win streak end at the hands of the Pirates on Sunday afternoon in Pittsburgh. Kevin Newman homered in the first inning, with Wilmer Difo driving in a run in the sixth for insurance to help Pittsburgh end their own six-game losing streak. 

Tyler Anderson tossed seven shutout innings to earn the win for the Pirates – giving up three hits, walking two, and striking out six. Freddy Peralta was saddled with the loss – he surrendered two runs on three hits, walking five and striking out seven batters in six innings. 

The Brewers head to New York for a three game series with the Mets tonight – first pitch is 6:10 PM, with radio coverage starting at 5:35 on KFIZ.

–The Reds complete the sweep of the Cubs, sending Chicago to their ninth straight loss. Cincy is seven games back of the Brewers in the National League Central standings
