Packers linebacker Nick Perry was activated off of the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list Sunday as he continues his return from ankle surgery this offseason. Perry had a team-high 18 sacks over the past two seasons, including a career high 11 in 2016. Perry says he hopes to play in Friday’s preseason game and expects to be ready to go against Chicago in the regular season opener.

Wide receiver Jake Kumerow has reportedly suffered a sprained SC Joint in his shoulder and the Packers don’t appear to be concerned about Kumerow missing much time, which is good news for the former Whitewater receiver.  Kumerow if healthy, appears to be a lock to start the season on the 53-man roster. Despite the assumption he is a lock for the roster, Kumerow says there’s still a lot of work to do and that nothing is guaranteed for him.
