>>Bucks Want/Have To Play “Better” And “Harder”

(Lake Buena Vista, FL)  —  The Milwaukee Bucks and their coach say it’s simple – they have to be better when they take on Orlando in game two of their playoff series today (Thursday) at 5:00 p-m Central Daylight Time.  Wesley Matthews, Khris Middleton and coach Mike Budenholzer told reporters that 10 times during a Wednesday Zoom conference call with the media. The Bucks were blown off the court by a crippled Magic team despite being 14-point favorites.  The Bucks haven’t looked like the team that had the best record in the NBA since they were playing in March.  It’s small consolation that the heavily-favored Los Angeles Lakers suffered a similar humiliating defeat this week.

>>Big Ten Commissioner Says Decision To Postpone Fall Sports “Will Not Be Revisited”

(Chicago, IL)  —  Big Ten Conference Commissioner Kevin Warren wants to end all the speculation.  Warren says the decision to postpone fall sports “will not be revisited.”  Because leagues like the SEC and Big 12 are moving ahead on a 2020 fall football season, there had been discussion that Big Ten leaders would change their minds.  Warren released an open letter to “the Big Ten Community” Wednesday citing several reasons the decision stands.  He pointed to transmission rates continuing to rise “at an alarming rate,” medical staff members saying the interventions planned wouldn’t be adequate, and there being too much that isn’t known about the coronavirus.

>>Packers Hold Their Breath When Only Proven Receiver Is Hurt During Workout

(Green Bay, WI)  —  All the Packers – coaches and players – were holding their breath Wednesday when Davante Adams was left lying on his back during a workout.  He walked carefully off the field and left the team’s second day of work in pads.  Adams did return for a walk-through later.  The tense moment came a day after defensive tackle Montravius Adams had to be carried off with a toe injury.  Tight end Marcedes Lewis and linebacker Za’Darius Smith didn’t put on the pads.  Coach Matt LaFleur says he’ll give them a few days to get right, just like last year.  The Packers just want to be ready for week one.
