Girls Golf: 

Appleton West defeated Fond du Lac 222-257 in an FVA dual meet at Winagamie Golf Course on Tuesday. Maisey Wilhelms scored a 52 to lead the Cardinals in the meet. 

Girls Tennis: 

St. Mary’s Springs recorded seven wins on day two of the Bay Port invitational on Tuesday – the Ledgers saw five of those wins come in doubles play. The #3 doubles team of Victoria Gaertig and Libby Pierret recorded three of the five victories. Springs competed against Green Bay Southwest, Bay Port and Waukesha South on Tuesday.

–The Cardinals used back-to-back four run innings in the sixth and seventh innings to take control and win game two against the Brewers on Tuesday night. Lorenzo Cain collected three hits, Ryan Braun, Eric Thames and Hernan Perez all had two hits for the Brewers in the loss. Dexter Fowler drove in four runs for the Cardinals in the win. With their loss and the Cubs’ win, the Brewers are now four games out of first place in the NL Central and three and a half games out of the Wild Card with two teams in front of them. The final game of the series is tonight – Adrian Houser starts for the Brewers against Adam Wainwright for St. Louis. Coverage starts at 6:10, first pitch at 6:45 on KFIZ.

College Football: 

The Wisconsin Badgers Football Team has two representatives on the preseason All-America team from the Associated Press. Running Back Jonathan Taylor and center Tyler Biadasz were selected by the AP as preseason All-America selections. Taylor and Biadasz were named to the First-Team offense, and are two of seven players from the Big Ten to earn First Team recognition.
