>>NBA Board Of Governors To Decide What’s Next

(Undated)  —  The NBA Board of Governors will meet today (Thursday) and it is expected that the three playoff games on the schedule won’t be played.  The Milwaukee Bucks started something of a “domino” effect Wednesday when the players decided not to take the court for their game against Orlando.  That led to the rest of the scheduled games being called off.  Players and coaches reportedly held an all-hands-on-deck meeting last night, but it was private and no information has been shared.  The Bucks players’ decision came in response to the shooting of Jacob Blake in Kenosha by a police officer.  After three nights of violence, Wednesday night protests in Kenosha were peaceful.

 >>ESPN Puts Packers 7th In Preseason Power Rankings

(Green Bay, WI)  —  ESPN preseason power rankings released Wednesday put the Green Bay Packers seventh among the 30 NFL teams.  Green Bay is coming off a 13-and-3 season that was stopped one game short of the Super Bowl. ESPN writer Rob Demovsky says defensive coordinator Mike Pettine of the Packers will be on the hot seat this season because he has five first-round picks as starters to go with three standout free agents who came on board last year.  The team signed linebacker Christian Kirksey in the off-season.  Green Bay’s defense was 18th in the league last year and struggled to stop the run.  If the team is to be successful, the defense may need to lead the way.

>>Former Badger Getting Ready For 4th NFL Season With New Orleans Saints

(New Orleans, LA)  —  Former Wisconsin Badger offensive tackle Ryan Ramczyk is preparing for his fourth NFL season with the New Orleans Saints.  Ramczyk didn’t allow a single sack last year, was the highest-graded tackle in the league and was named a first-team All-Pro.  Ramczyk says the coronavirus pandemic didn’t change his preparation for the 2020 season because he was coming to the Saints’ facility for rehab of an off-season scoping of his knee.  Ramczyk says he gets a good workout in training camp because he goes against standout defensive end Cameron Jordan every day.
