Brewer’s Bats Go Cold Against The Twins

Milwaukee had been one of the most explosive offensive teams in the Majors all season, but they fizzled against a sub-par Minnesota team, dropping the opening game of a 3-game series 2-0. The Brew Crew also gave up ground to Cincinnati who beat the Marlins. The Brewers now lead the Reds by only 7.5 games. The Brewers and Twins meet again Saturday night. Quad Cities Cracks Walkoff Homer to Beat Wisconsin 8-6
Rattlers let 5-1 lead slip away and Hancock breaks tie with walkoff homer in ninth

The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers have led in all five games against the Quad Cities River Bandits this week at Modern Woodmen Park.  That included a 5-1 lead on Friday night against the team with the best record in the High-A Central League.  However, the River Bandits rallied past Wisconsin, withstood a late rally Rattler rally to tie the game, and eventually won 8-6 on a two-run, walk-off home run by Will Hancock in the bottom of the ninth.

Wisconsin is 2-3 this week against the River Bandits and have lost three in a row.

The series continues Saturday night at Modern Woodmen Park.  TJ Shook (1-0, 3.60) is the scheduled starting pitcher for Wisconsin.  The River Bandits (5-4, 4.06) is scheduled to start for the River Bandits.  Game time is 6:30pm.

Green Bay Packers Announce Roster Moves

(roe-jess-ter-mun) Farris is a 5-foot-11, 179-pound, first-year player out of the University of Hawaii. He originally signed with the Atlanta Falcons in April 2020 as an undrafted free agent, but was waived during training camp. In 2021, Farris spent time with the Chicago Bears and Denver Broncos. He appeared in 49 games with 44 starts at Hawaii (2016-19), registering 171 tackles (121 solo), four interceptions, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and 28 passes defensed. Farris will wear No. 30 for the Packers.
