>> Brewers On Deck 2021 Cancelled Due to Health Concerns

(Milwaukee, WI)  —  The team says there will be no “Brewers On Deck” in 2021 due to concerns for the health and safety of players, staff and fans.  Brewers President of Business Operations Rick Schlesinger said it’s impossible to know at this time what restrictions may be in place that would require a different footprint or format for Brewers On Deck in January.  The winter event allows fans to meet current and former players of the Milwaukee Brewers ahead of Spring Training.  No word on whether it will be rescheduled.

>>Milwaukee Bucks Face Dallas Mavericks in NBA Bubble

(Lake Buena Vista, FL)  —  The Milwaukee Bucks play the Dallas Mavericks tonight in another seeding game in the NBA bubble at Walt Disney World (Saturday 7:30 p-m). The Bucks clinched the top playoff seed in the Eastern Conference with a come-from-behind 130-116 win over the Miami Heat Thursday.  Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton led Milwaukee with 33 points apiece.  The Mavericks are currently the seventh seed in the Western Conference but have gone 1-and-3 so far in Florida.  The Bucks don’t have  much to play for and could rest some starters.  There are three more games until the playoffs begin.

>>Packers Pass Rushers ‘Smith’ Look For Repeat of 2019

(Green Bay, WI)  —  Green Bay Packers pass rushers Za’Darius Smith and Preston Smith had career seasons in 2019 and hope to do it again or even better this year.  Preston told reporters Friday, “we always talk a lot about improving and being, you know, complete players. Bringing a lot more to the table and turning it up a level this year.”  The duo had 25-and-a-half combined sacks last season.  Za’Darius tied for the NFL lead with four games with at least two sacks, and Preston tied for second in the league with seven sacks on third down.  Together, they combined for more than 100 Q-B pressures in their first season in defensive coordinator Mike Pettine’s scheme, which fit them better than anyone could have anticipated.  Preston says “it caters to our abilities and our biggest assets, and that’s pass rushing and being used in multiple ways instead of being one-dimensional.”
