The Sabres were able to find the back of the net first when senior Shannon Coughlin scored her first goal of the season with an assist from junior Ashley Welk at the 28:45 mark of the first half.  This proved to be the only tally in a half that saw the Warriors outshoot the Sabres 10-7.

Wisconsin Lutheran was able to find their equalizer just 6:22 into the second half, but the tie didn’t last long as the Sabres retook the lead in the 60th minute.  Senior Meghan Batzner was the goal scorer for Marian after heading in a corner kick from Welk.  Just 4:20 later, sophomore Trinity Grimes scored her first collegiate goal with yet another assist to Welk.  Another sophomore scored their first collegiate goal when Maya Galicia found the back of the net in the 85th minute.
