(Chicago, IL)  —  The NCAA Division One Council has decided the college basketball season for men and women will tip-off November 25th, a little over two weeks later than the original schedule.  That announcement was made Wednesday.  Closed college campuses could serve as something like a bubble for players.  The council reduced the maximum number of regular-season games from 31-to-27.  A team will need to play 13 games to be considered for the NCAA Tournament. That’s about half the original 25 required games.

>>UW:  Football Is The Only Sport Back On The Fall Schedule

(Madison, WI)  —  It looks like football will be the only fall sport returning to a fall schedule.  University of Wisconsin athletic director Barry Alvarez says he doesn’t see that happening for volleyball, soccer, and cross country teams.  Their seasons have been moved to the second semester due to the coronavirus pandemic.  Alvarez says he thinks they will stay there.  Big Ten Commissioner Kevin Warren says updates on the seasons for winter sports like basketball, hockey, swimming and diving, and wrestling will be announced soon.

>>LeBron James, Giannis Antetokounmpo Are Unanimous Choices For NBA 1st Team
