Women’s Golf: 

The Marian University Women’s Golf team took ninth at the UW-Oshkosh Titan Classic on Sunday. The Sabres shot a first round 409, led by Kristin Frawley with a 93. Marian then scored a 412 in the second round, led by Michelle Lopez with a 97. UW-Oshkosh won their home meet with a team score of a 655. Erika Priebe shot a combined 156 to earn medalist honors. 

Amateur Baseball: 

East Shore League Championship Series – Game 1: 

St. Cloud 10, Howards Grove 2

–St. Cloud plays at Howards Grove next Sunday in game two of the best-of-three series.

Milwaukee 4, Chicago Cubs 0

–Christian Yelich clubbed a three-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the game out of reach, as the Brewers shut out the Cubs for the second day in a row to clinch a series win on Sunday afternoon. Brewers pitchers held the Cubs to just four hits in the game. Milwaukee returns home for a two-game series against the Houston Astros at Miller Park. Coverage this afternoon starts at 2:35 pm, first pitch at 3:10 on KFIZ.

MLB News: 

The Brewers made several roster moves on Sunday morning, activating pitchers Jimmy Nelson and Brent Suter from the 60-day injured list, and designating relief pitchers Jeremy Jeffress and Aaron Wilkerson and outfielder Troy Stokes Jr. for assignment. The team also selected the contract of first baseman Tyler Austin from Triple-A San Antonio.

NFL News: 

One day after roster cutdowns, the Packers filled out their 10-player practice squad on Sunday. Notable names added to the practice squad include running back Tra Carson, wide receiver Allen Lazard and quarterback Manny Wilkins. Other players signed include – tight end Evan Baylis, cornerback Kabion Ento, defensive lineman James Looney, tackle Yosh Nijman, linebackers Randy Ramsey and Brady Sheldon and receiver Malik Taylor.
