Kiel – 5, New Holstein – 0

Kiel opened scoring in the 5th minute of the first half and never looked back.  They took a 3-0 lead into halftime.  They also added 2 more goals in the 2nd half to end the contest with a 5-0 victory.   New Holstein goal keeper, Levi Kesler, recorded 25 saves during the game for New Holstein.

New Holstein Coach John Moore said “We are really struggling with numbers right now.  Because of a COVID quarantine, a couple of ineligible players and an injured player – we were forced into a 10 v 10 for tonight’s contest with no substitutes.  We had to play the players we had, and Kiel dominated in most aspects of the game.  We had no answer for Everett Saeger who had a hat trick tonight.  By far – he was the best player out there tonight.”

In four seasons at Iowa State, he did not miss a single game in his career (51 total) while handling all snapping duties. Wirtel will wear No. 46 for the Packers.
