–Orlando Arica’s run-scoring double in the fifth inning was all the offense the Brewers could muster as they lose in the series finale in Cincinnati Wednesday night. Avisail Garcia had three hits in the loss for the Brewers. The loss drops Milwaukee to one game below .500 at 27-28, a game back of both Cincinnati and St. Louis for 2nd place in the National League Central. The loss also drops Milwaukee – at least temporarily – out of a playoff spot. The Brewers open a crucial series against the Cardinals to close out the regular season – game one is tonight, with first pitch at 7:15 pm.

>>Davante Adams Uncertain For Sunday Night Football At New Orleans

(Green Bay, WI)  —  Green Bay packers wide receiver Davante Adams isn’t sure whether he’ll play Sunday night at New Orleans.  Adams left Sunday’s win over Detroit with a hamstring injury and hasn’t been practicing this week.  He told reporters Wednesday that “It’s feeling better. I think we’re making good progress every day. But we’re just going to wait it out and see.” Quarterback Aaron Rodgers isn’t concerned about Adams.  Number 12 said, “If he doesn’t practice, I would feel completely comfortable if he wakes up Sunday morning and says, ‘I’m going to play.”  Saints Pro Bowl receiver Michael Thomas suffered an ankle injury in Monday night’s loss at the Raiders.

>>Packers To Hold Virtual Pep Rally Saturday

(Green Bay, WI) — Still no fans in the stands and no tailgating, but the Green Bay Packers are holding a virtual pep rally Saturday. Packer fans can be a part of it by going to the team’s website or its official Twitter and Facebook accounts. All who tune in will have the chance to win autographed Packers items and gift cards to the Packers Pro Shop. You’ll hear from the team. President Mark Murphy will do a question-and-answer session with play-by-play man Wayne Larrivee. Gilbert Brown will talk about the game at New Orleans and a roundtable discussion with Larrivee and Packers digital reporter Wes Hodkiewicz will wrap things up.

(Milwaukee, WI) — Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo made Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People list this year. The back-to-back NBA Most Valuable Player and Defensive Player of the Year had his blurb written by Hall of Famer Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Kareem writes that a sports hero is more than records. He said “Giannis sets an example by standing up for what he believes in. After leading the Milwaukee Bucks to the playoffs, he and his team protested the police shooting of Jacob Blake in their home state by refusing to play, sparking a wave of strikes and postponements throughout the N-B-A.

>>Offensive Lineman Jon Dietzen Returns to U-W Football

(Madison, WI) — The University of Wisconsin’s fall football roster shows offensive lineman Jon Dietzen is back with the team. The Black Creek native started 32 games before leaving the Badgers following the 2018 season due to injury. Dietzen’s return could give the offensive line some veteran experience following the departures of Tyler Biadasz, s David Moorman and Jason Erdmann. Dietzen was hoping to return to the program last spring but campus workouts were shut down due to COVID-19. The Badgers opened their fall camp Wednesday.
