KFIZ, WestwoodOne Sports to Offer Classic NCAA Tournament Games

News/Talk 1450 KFIZ is offering a chance to relive some
of the greatest games in NCAA Tournament History – thanks to our national
partners at WestwoodOne Sports. The network is offering a collection of classic
tournament games and will rebroadcast them over the next few weeks to help fill
the void left when all the major sports – including the 2020 NCAA Tournament –
have been canceled or postponed because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The “greatest games” lineup involves two games of local
interest. On March 29th, the 2003 Elite Eight game between Marquette
and Kentucky will be featured – which saw future NBA star Dwayne Wade score 29
points to lead the Golden Eagles to the win. That Marquette team also featured
Fond du Lac native Travis Diener.

The second game of local interest will be heard on April
4th – a replay of the 2015 Final Four matchup between Wisconsin and
Kentucky, where the Badgers knocked off the Wildcats and ended their 38-game
win streak behind 20 points from Frank Kaminsky.
