Kiel Man Arrested for Tampering with Johnsonville Sausages

A Kiel man has been arrested for allegedly sabotaging Johnsonville sausage links. Jonathan Tilman Lane appeared in Milwaukee Federal Court to face charges of tampering with a consumer product. Video surveillance from March shows Lane putting cigarette paper and wire connectors in sausage links. The items were removed from the links before the sausages were packaged. Lane faces two counts of tampering with a consumer product – which would be ten years in prison and up to $250,000 in fines.
