King Wins Democratic Primary in 6th Congressional District Race

Former State Senator Jessica King will challenge incumbent congressman
Glenn Grothman for the 6th District Congressional seat this
November.


King emerged from a three person race in Tuesday’s
democratic primary, defeating challengers Michael Beardsley and Matthew Boor.


King was declared the winner in the race, receiving 75 percent
of the vote, with Beardsley getting 16 percent and Boor just nine percent. In Fond du
Lac County, unofficial results showed King received just over 5,100 votes, or 85 percent of votes cast.
Beardsley received 639 votes in the county, while Boor got 294.


Grothman ran unopposed in Tuesday’s primary.
