Lakeshore Second Graders Host Special Visitor

Lakeshore Elmentary School’s Ms. Gedemer, Ms. Georgeson, and Ms. Marchionda-Schneider’s second grade classes had a very special guest on March 14. The second graders had a visit from Lawrence Cayton, an elderly gentleman who they have unofficially adopted as a “great Grandpa.” Lawrence, who lives at Lake View Estates and will turn 100 in July, shared stories of how life was when he was growing up. In return, the second graders “spoiled” him with some of his favorite treats. The second graders learned interesting information from this unique history lesson. They expressed their appreciation through hugs and handshakes, providing a wonderful opportunity to demonstrate their “#LakeshoreLovesAll,” a sign that Lawrence proudly displays in this photo.
