Lakeside Neurocare Dr., Staff To Join Agnesian/FDL Regional Clinic

Lakeside Neurocare is closing
and the providers will join Agnesian Healthcare. The announcement made Monday was
that Xian-feng Gu, MD, neurologist, and other members of
Lakeside Neurocare team will join Agnesian and the Fond du Lac Regional Clincic effective July
1, 2020. 

For more than 25 years, Dr. Gu has served with Lakeside Neurocare
providing patients with comprehensive neurology services, as well as education
and encouragement, and being an active partner in the management of their
neurologic needs. Gu will also bring with him Lacy Ihde, MSN, APNP-C,
and Renae Patrick, RN, MSN, APNP-C. 

“Dr. Gu is a highly-respected physician in the Fond
du Lac area,” says Mike Drees, Fond du Lac Regional Clinic chief operating
officer. “We are honored that he has chosen to become part of the Agnesian
HealthCare team.”

Lakeside Neurocare had provided patients in the Fond du
Lac, Oshkosh
and surrounding communities with highly-specialized neurologic care for the
past 40 years, and was founded in 1976 by Kenneth M. Viste, Jr. Dr. Gu serves as
the current owner.

HealthCare,” Dr. Gu says. “Transitioning our services under this new umbrella
will help us ensure that vital neurology services continue for the long term in
this area.”

Dr. Gu, along with the nurse practitioners, will continue
to see patients at Ripon Medical Center
and St. Agnes
Hospital. Dr. Gu
and neurology team members have been offering neurology care services at St. Agnes
Hospital, and as a result, are very
familiar with the resources available through Agnesian HealthCare. “During
our time in Fond du Lac, we have worked closely
with Agnesian HealthCare providers using available resources,” according to Dr.
Gu. “Fond du Lac area individuals and families can feel reassured
that the finest providers and technology are readily accessible locally with all
the services of Agnesian HealthCare available to them.”
