Lakeside Park Survey Results

A survey about the use of Lakeside Park in Fond du Lac got about 2,200 responses. The City released results of the survey Monday and they will be reviewed by the Lakeside Park Exploratory Committee tonight. Sixty-three percent of those taking the survey have lived in Fond du Lac or Fond du Lac County for 26 years or more. Another 63 percent of those responding to the survey were female. Nine-three percent live in the County. More than 45 percent said they’d like to have access to food and beverage in the park. Forty percent would like to see some type of restaurant in the park, but 42 percent did not. About 41 percent would like to see a coffee or sandwich shop available while 29 percent disagreed or strongly disagreed. Nearly half did not want to see a beer garden and didn’t think selling alcoholic beverages in the park was a good idea. Nearly 70 percent would like to see more festivals in the park.
